The following are four of the current outreaches of the National SAR. Please take a movement to read about the different outreaches of the National SAR.
The SAR Foundation was established in 2000 as the fundraising arm of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. Its first fundraising objective was to lead a capital campaign to build a new library and museum across the street from the National Society’s Headquarters in Louisville, KY. No sooner was this effort underway, the National Society came to the understanding that books and artifacts weren’t the only things requiring preservation, so was our precious American Heritage.
You can read more about the SAR Foundation on their official website.
One of the outreaches of the NSSAR is to publish the quarterly SAR Magazine, which keeps compatriots abreast of all news coming from National as well as important updates from State Societies. Since 2012 digital copies have been maintained for public consumption and you can view the latest edition below at SAR Library – Since 1889

The SAR Library was founded as a place to collect, organize, and provide access to genealogical research to anyone interested in learning more about their history.
The primary focal point of the collections is the Revolutionary War era but the collection includes other materials of a genealogical nature. To date, the library collection has grown to over 55,000 items and includes family histories, local, county and state records and genealogy materials, and access to the online databases of Ancestry, Heritage Quest, Fold3, and the New England Historical and Genealogical Society.
Feel free to learn more about the SAR Library, including admission and directions on their official website.
The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution’s patriotic education mission is to reaffirm and instill in others faith in the principles of liberty and our constitutional republic while honoring our patriotic ancestors who gave us our freedom and constitutional form of government. We will use our library and archives, youth awards programs, educational outreach facility, and American Revolution exhibits to collectively establish a national patriotic institution of learning dedicated to assisting our membership, schools, teachers, and the general public in their efforts to sustain and preserve our history and constitutional principles.
Feel free to learn more about the SAR Educational Outreach, on their official website.
